Yufuin is one of a must-visit-place when you travel to Kyushu. Since it can get access easily both by train or bus 2-hour away from Fukuoka city, and you can see beautiful nature, delicious air, cute shops here.

1. Ride Yufuin-no-Mori train
It is a special tourist train depart from Hakata to Yufuin. You can enjoy the modern wooden interior of the green emerald train, Snack Bar, and photo service as well as enjoy the view outside the wide window.
2. Try footbath at Yufuin station
While waiting for the train, you can get soaked in the warm footbath for 160 Yen (with towel service).
3. Ride Horse carriages
Arrive at and depart from the station, for approximately 50 mins, you will be going from Yufuin Station to Bussanji Temple and Unagihime Shrine. The prices are Adult 1,600 yen, Child 1,100 yen. The carriages can carry 10 people.
4. Ride Ebisuya Rickshaw
If you are in a small group and would like to see the sights around Yufuin, why not take an Ebisuya Rickshaw? It’s an awesome experience, riding through this charming landscape in a rickshaw!
When you find a place that you are interested in, the driver will stop the rickshaw and let you take time to really enjoy the scenery around us.
5. Find cute characters along Yu no Tsubo street
Yu no Tsubo street is the main street with about 70 shops in total aligned on both sides. The original goods stores like Snoopy, Ghilbi’s Totoro etc. are here.
6. Try desserts and snack
Along with Yu no Tsubo street, there are also many yummy sweet and snack shops like cheesecake and potato croquettes, as well as at the restaurants that use locally grown fruits and vegetables.
7. Yufuin Floral Village
In this cute little area is full of small animals gardens like rabbits, owl and cat cafe.
8. Lake Kinrin
After a little walk from the station to at the end of the way, you will find Lake Kinrin. A small lake with clear waters that well up from a hot spring. A fantasy-like mist rises from the warm waters in the silent morning air. The effect is most pronounced in autumn and winter.
9. Mt. Yufu
Do not forget to look for this double peak mountain, Mt.Yufu. this mountain is like a symbol of the town wherever you go you will see it. Some adventurous travelers go hiking to overlook the entirety of the town.
10 Onsen (Hot spring)
After enjoying your stroll, you might a big rest in hot spring as you soak in this luxurious hot spring. You’re sure to want to come back to Yufuin again and again after this experience!
